What is Wave Trader?

Wave Trader is a short-term options trading service that focuses exclusively on the most liquid stocks in the S&P 500 — household names like Apple, Nvidia, Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta. 

The service buys both calls and puts for long/short exposure, using a mixture of weekly, monthly, and the newly available Monday/Wednesday expirations to ride breakout moves in the market's biggest names.

In plain terms: if you already have money in passively managed large cap index funds – like SPY or VOO – Wave Trader is how you get bigger returns from the same stocks you're already exposed to.

Who is this for?

Wave Trader is designed for intermediate-level options traders — investors who understand the basics of buying calls and puts, are comfortable acting quickly when a trade moves against them, and want a systematic, professionally managed approach to trading the market's biggest names.

How many trades will I get each month?

You can expect approximately 15–20 trade recommendations per month, though the actual number will vary based on what the market is giving us. We only send trades when the setups are there.

What kinds of options will you be trading?

Wave Trader buys both calls and puts. We are only buying premiums, never selling them. This means your maximum loss on any single trade is limited to the premium you paid.

We'll use a mixture of expirations depending on the setup: standard monthly options, weekly options, and the newly SEC-approved Monday and Wednesday expirations on Mag 7 names. 

Shorter expirations on liquid large-caps give us more precise timing — and because these names trade millions of contracts a day, we get in and out cleanly without moving the market.

Will you trade both long and short? How does that work?

Yes. Wave Trader is a long/short service, skewed primarily long but with the flexibility to buy puts when setups call for it. Buying puts is not the same as short selling — you cannot lose more than the premium paid.

For members who already own these large-cap names in their portfolio or index funds, put trades serve a dual purpose: they're directional trades when we see weakness, and a partial hedge against the long exposure you already carry. Your index fund only works in one direction. Wave Trader works in both.

What stocks will you be trading?

Primarily S&P 500 names — the most liquid, most actively traded stocks in the US market. Think Apple, Nvidia, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, Alphabet, Tesla, and others in that tier. The guiding rule is simple: if it's hard to fill an order on it, we don't trade it.

How is Wave Trader different from Breakout Multiplier?

Breakout Multiplier hunts breakouts in small and mid-cap names where moves can be explosive. 

Wave Trader focuses on trading large cap and mega-cap stocks – the most liquid names in the market. This means we have a lot more options to choose from. 

Instead of only using 25 delta options on a 45-90 day time frame, we will start looking at weekly options and potentially shorter time frames.
