Starting Before You’re Ready

Please send some grace my way.

I’m in the very early stages of putting together something I’ve wanted for years: a tight-knit group of traders. Not the kind of group that swaps trade ideas, debates setups, or obsesses over the latest economic data — there’s plenty of that already.

I’m talking about a space where we explore the real drivers behind our decisions: our thoughts, feelings, vulnerabilities, and emotions. The energies under the surface that quietly push us toward — or away from — the trades we take.

For years, I’ve carried this idea around like a half-written note in my pocket. I’ve talked with a handful of local traders about it, and every time, I’ve been met with curiosity and enthusiasm.

So why haven’t I started?

Because I didn’t have all the details figured out. I convinced myself I needed the perfect structure before inviting anyone in. I told myself it wasn’t time yet. And so, the idea just sat there.

But here’s the truth: that “perfect” moment will never arrive.

The more I talk with traders, the more convinced I am that this is needed — and that I’m the right person to make it happen. So I’m moving forward with incomplete information, trusting that the details will emerge in collaboration with the people who show up.

I don’t need to do everything. I don’t need to have all the answers.

And neither do you.

Just like in trading, we never have all the information. The sooner we can get comfortable with that, the sooner we can take confident steps forward — imperfectly — and make progress.

So, onward we go.

If you’re a trader and this resonates with you, and you have some experience with groups like this I’d love to hear from you. I'm open to receiving any kind of input the universe can offer. And I’m ready to get started.
