"A Single Number" Sounds Like Nonsense
When my Australian friend Grant Hawkridge first told me his entire process comes down to one number between 0 and 100, my reaction was probably yours.
Sure it does, mate.
Every corner of this industry has a guy with a proprietary number. Usually it's a marketing device wearing a lab coat, something that spits out a reading precise enough to sound scientific and vague enough to never be wrong.
So I want to be clear about what Grant's number is not.
It doesn't forecast. It doesn't tell you where the market's going next quarter, and Grant will be the first to say he has no idea. It isn't a signal to buy anything in particular. It has no opinion whatsoever on tokenization, which is somewhat inconvenient for me given that's what I've spent the last month writing to you about.
Here's what it actually does. It answers one question, every single day: how much risk am I allowed to take right now?
That's the whole thing. He calls it the green light. A reading near the top means the environment is paying you for aggression, so be aggressive. A reading near the bottom means it isn't, so shrink. And the number also tells him which stocks are worth owning in that environment, because leadership changes and most people notice about six months late.
It's not trying to predict anything, it's about position sizing with the emotion surgically removed.
Which sounds boring right up until you remember that almost every serious hole you've blown in your own account came from being too big at the wrong moment.
Grant's a former financial planner who now runs his own money and builds these systems for other funds. The work takes him about fifteen minutes a day. He's up 53% this year against 10% for the S&P and I'd argue that gap has less to do with him picking better than everyone else and more to do with him being large when it counted and small when it didn't.
I bring the conviction in my own process. Grant's number tells me what I'm allowed to do with it.
He's just launched Apex Trader:
- The number, every day: the same green light reading he trades off.
- A leadership trade most weeks: his highest-conviction setups, targeting gains up to +600%.
- A Sector Scorecard: all 11 sectors graded, so you see strength forming before its consensus.
- A weekly live call: Grant runs the number live and takes questions, mine included.
First-member pricing: $495 for the year, down from $1,995, with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If it's not for you, or the Aussie accent wears on you like it does on me, cancel and get it all back.
He's ending his sale at midnight tonight.
