This week, Industrials stand out as a clear leader—second only to Tech, up nearly 9% in May, and the first sector to complete the V-shaped recovery and retest all-time highs.
Within Industrials, the Construction & Engineering group is starting to emerge as a key area of strength.
It’s not the most obvious leader—yet—but the signs are there. We’re seeing bullish momentum build, strong relative trends, and several names setting up for potential breakouts.
These are the Top 10 names sorted by relative strength coming out of the construction & engineering industry group.
My favorite setup from the list is Construction Partners $ROAD, a $3.4B heavy civil construction company focused on infrastructure projects.
ROAD is knocking on the door of new highs, pressing up against the top of a multi-month base.
If buyers can absorb the remaining overhead supply here, the path of least resistance will be higher.
On a relative basis, ROAD has already broken out of a similar base versus the broader market—supporting an upside breakout in absolute terms.
I’m long above 103.50 with a target of 142.
